CBA’s 2016 Lincoln Kirstein Lecture was given by historian, writer and internationally renowned tenor Ian Bostridge. Bostridge discussed the relationship between song and dance, the role of song in Schubert’s music and Benjamin Britten’s complex work with dance and stylisation from the Prince of the Pagodas to Death in Venice.
The Lincoln Kirstein Lecture is an annual lecture presented by The Center for Ballet and the Arts in honor of Lincoln Kirstein (1907-1996) and featuring a major figure in cultural life.
