Adriana Pierce (Spring ’15) is currently a member of Miami City Ballet. She has choreographed a number of experimental and exploratory dance/performance works, and premiered her first balletic choreography when she created two pieces for the School of American Ballet’s Annual Student Choreography Workshop. Over the past few years, Pierce’s work has been seen at Miami’s Maurice Gusman Concert Hall, the Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and at New World Center as part of New World Symphony’s Inside the Music series. Recently, Pierce was chosen to participate in New York Choreographic Institute’s fall session in November, 2014.
An introspective solo performance using the language of ballet in an unconventional setting. This performance aims to challenge traditional balletic norms.
