Rose is currently a dancer for the Miami City Ballet. He began his ballet training at Ballet Academy East (BAE) in New York City. He spent two years dancing with the Boston Ballet and three years with the Richmond Ballet of Virginia. Rose choreographed his first three works in the BAE student choreography workshop under the tutelage of Francis Patrelle. Rose also co-choreographed a work with contemporary dancer Ellenore Scott, a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, that was chosen for the Harkness Dance Center’s Young Choreographers presentation in May 2008. Rose has been invited to choreograph on the trainees of the Boston Ballet School and has been commissioned by BAE to create a large-scale ballet for student dancers. Most recently Rose choreographed a ballet using dancers from Miami City Ballet in collaboration with the New World Symphony.
Project Title: The Fallen – a new work
The Fallen is an abstract ballet focusing on the moment following the fall of Lucifer. The piece will be choreographed for one male and three female dancers to music by composer Peteris Vasks.
