The dancers from the internationally acclaimed South African dance company Moving into Dance Trust (MID) will facilitate a workshop on Afrofusion dance, the company’s signature dance genre developed by MID’s founder. Afrofusion dance combines African dance, movement, rhythm, and music with contemporary dance. The movements are grounded and based on the principle of embracing gravity and the undulations of the spine
Organized by NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts and NYU Center for Ballet and the Arts as part of the Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival in New York.
