This evening brings together artists Harriet Jung and Sugar Vendil to reimagine the Tea divertissement of The Nutcracker. The piece takes the form of a considered artistic and scholarly response to a canonical work, reimagining its music, movement vocabulary, and design in dialogue with the original. The presentation will be followed by a conversation with our Interim Director, Meredith Martin.
