David Leopold, editor of The Hirschfeld Century: Portrait of an Artist and His Age and curator of a retrospective on display at the New York Historical Society, spoke about Al Hirschfeld’s drawings of dance, three of which were donated to CBA by The Al Hirschfeld Foundation. These works are now on permanent display at CBA.
