Suzanne Farrell’s staging of Balanchine’s Gounod Symphony premiered during the Suzanne Farrell Ballet’s 15th season at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., October 21 – 23, 2016.

The brief performance was followed by a conversation with Jennifer Homans, Founder and Director of the Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University, and Suzanne Farrell, Artistic Director of The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, where they discussed Farrell’s staging of Gounod Symphony and her work with the company.

Balanchine’s Gounod Symphony, a Staging-in-Process by Suzanne Farrell, was co-presented by The Center for Ballet and the Arts and NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
